DATA PROTECTION INFORMATION ON NEWSLETTER SUBSCRIPTION
Description and scope of data processing
We send a free e-mail newsletter for which we obtain your consent by post, e-mail or double opt-in. Upon confirmation by the user by post, fax, e-mail or via the consent link, the following data will be transmitted to us and processed.
- Email address
- Fax number if required
You may optionally provide:
- First and last name
- Address
- Company
- Telephone number
The following data is also stored when you subscribe:
- Subscriber ID
- The user’s IP address
- Source of registration
- Date and time of subscription
- Date and time of double opt-in consent
- Status of the application
When unsubscribing
- Date of unsubscription
No data is forwarded to third parties in connection with data processing for the sending. This data shall only be used to send the newsletter.
Legal basis for data processing
The legal basis for the processing of the data is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent).
The legal basis for the processing of the additional data is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in connection with Article 5(2) GDPR for traceability of the given consent.
Purpose of data processing
The primary purpose of processing is to provide you with information about our newsletterIf you provide your address and name, we use these to personalise our communication. The other data stored in the course of the despatch of the newsletter serves to make the given consent traceable, to prevent abuse of the services or of the email address used.
Duration of storage
The data will be deleted after consent has been withdrawn, unless they must be retained for evidence purposes. Email addresses are stored for evidence purposes as blocked data in a blacklist.
Right to object and right to rectification
Consent to subscribe to the newsletter can be terminated at any time. In particular, you have the right to object to the processing of your data for the purpose of direct marketing. The objection is possible by mail, fax or e-mail.
